Our company entered into an agreement which has been detailed in correspondence emails with company 'Y'. There are no signed agreements between us. We definitely had a 'meeting of the minds' on terms. The emails are very explicit on how the partnership will work. For the most part, the agreement is being fulfilled by both parties to the letter. However, company 'Y' now wants to renege on certain terms of the agreement. We understand that any contract can be revisited and renegotiated. While our intent is not to enter into a legal battle with them, we are interested in knowing what our legal rights are. Note that company 'Y' is in California and we are in New York.
