    Question Emancipation At 16

im 16 and i have two parents who i currently live under in san diego california. we argue often although my parents do make a good amount of money and dont beat me and being threatened to be kicked out i want to do it leagally. they are not willing to sign papers. i have 3 grand at the moment and a job i just quit. i have a job offer in sacremento to make a contracted amount of 2.5 grand a month. a house to live under in which i could afford rent and other wise could afford to live on my own. including food, clothes, insurance, a phone (if needed), rent ect. knowing it will cost about 1,5 to 2, a month. school and work are in walking distance so no need for a car and insurance although i do currently have a license. my problem is i cant get the job in sacremento till im imancipated... due to school transfers and moving arrangements.. i would have 4 room mates. although mangement of the buisness.. would also be my landlord. he is willing to appear in court to verify everything. hes is 25. we are not having any relations at all. is it possible?.. or technically do i have it "to good" to were the court would laugh at the request?

emancipation require self support with no job you cannot be self supporting. I realize you hav money but the judge will look at long term picture and believe me 3 grand isnt that much

Quote Quoting There are 3 ways to get emancipated:
    1. Get married. You need permission from your parents and the court.

    2. Join the armed forces. You need permission from your parents, and the armed forces must accept you.

    3. Get a declaration of emancipation from a judge. To get a declaration of emancipation, you have to prove ALL of these things:
    • You are at least 14 years old.
    • You don't want to live with your parents. Your parents don't mind if you move out.
    • You can handle your own
    More details are here.

so in other words i would have to parove i can live here first. would that be possible if i got a job at the moment cause it would still show short term. knowing that as soon as i move i would have a guarentted higher paying job and its cheaper rent.

You are not going to be granted emancipation on the basis of what you say you are going to do in the future

Did you read the part of Aaron's post that says your parents have to agree to this? If they are "unwilling to sign papers" it won't matter what jobs you get or how much security you think you have. If Mom and Dad say no, you can't move out, then no, you can't move out.
