Default Can I Request For My 17 Year Old To Be Emancipated

My son is 17 years old. He is currently on probation for verious issues. He refuses to get off drugs, will not following rules in the home and continues to do whatever he wants and the courts have done nothing for over a year. I have been told by the courts that as long as he is in the system I can not just kick him out. God knows I do not want to do that but he will leave for days at a time, he won't get a job. I am tired of argueing with him about the rules in my home. Can I request emancipation even though he does not have a job? I just don't know what to do.

Laws are different in each state. I would not expect your state to permit emancipation of a minor who is not financially self-sufficient.
