Default Taking The Second Credit Education Class

I am filing bankruptcy on my own. I have already taken the first credit counseling class and filed. My 341 meeting is for the beginning of Jan. 2008. Do I need to take the 2nd credit counseling education class before the 341 meeting with creditors? After I take the class do I need to file it with the court and send a copy to the trustee?

You would file proof of the first credit counseling meeting (your Credit Counseling Certificate) when you file for bankruptcy. The second class normally occurs after the 341 meeting, to be completed within 45 days of that meeting. You would need to document completion of that course to the bankrupycy court, as well.

Information on this process should be available from the bankruptcy court, quite possibly on its website.
