In March of 2007 I was sentenced to three years of community probation in the state of Virginia. At the time of the sentencing I was living in NC becuase of my job and had the probation immediatley transffered to NC. While in NC I have complied with all rules and requirements set forth by my PO and am up to date with all of my payments and never missed a meeting. So as far as I understand NC is technically babysitting me for the state of Virginia. While living in NC I was arrested for possesion of cocaine. I have court tomorrow morning and beleive that I will be convicted of a felony possesion charge. With that being said, my lawyer has informed me that I am looking at intermediate probation in the state of NC, in addition to my probation from Virginia. My PO is incredibly supportive and has not filled a violation yet and will only do so once I am convicted. She seems to beleive that I will not be extradited back to VA for the violation and simply will be sanctioned. Assuming that no additonal jail time is imposed, I have the opportunity to advance my career and start fresh in the state of Arizona where I have a job and an apartment waiting for me. I am wondering if anyone forsees and complications in getting this trasnfer, in addition, what possible outcomes may come from the violation? Also I was wondering if the PO even has to report the violation to my original state? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
