Nordstrom's Admonishment Agreement Program states that when there's "no weapon involved," the "merchandise is returned" and the suspects are cooperative and "confess in writing," Nordstrom's policy is not to press charges.
However, I have seen on this site numerous inquiries on retail theft related to Nordstrom. Does this mean all those ppl are noncooperative, not confessing in writing, having weapons, or never returning merchandise?
Also how much discretion does LP have with regard to intiating the prosecution process, despite company's policy? In other words, what's in it for LP to press charges and disregard company policy?
