Default Paying Off Auto Loan While Behind On a Mortgage With The Same Lender

    hello,
dont know if this is the actual place to post this but i have 2 accounts with 2 different account number with a finance company that has my 2nd mortgage and 1 auto loan. I am currently going through a foreclosure and i am also behind on the 2nd. my question is.....if i walk into the office to pay off my auto loan, do they have the right to disregard what i say apply those funds to the 2nd?

If you go in and pay off your auto loan, the payment should be applied to that account. As you will be there in person, you should be able to verify that the payment is being applied to the correct account.
