Default Identity Theft and Criminal Records

My husband believes that someone is using his name (the person has done so in past) so asked me to a back-round check, which I did from a site one line, the report shows that he was charged with Larceny 6th deg larceny 6 mc...report shows offense date and disposition date no conviction or sentence...this was not him, couple questions

We live in the state of CT

what is larceny in the 6th ( i know theft of sort but not sure of degrees)

can he get this off his record

and is there anyway to prevent someone from using his name seeing this seems to be the second time that this person has used his information, they are brothers but look different. He is very concerned about this and what else this person may use his name for.

    thanks for help

Quote Quoting Connecticut Statutes Sec. 53a-125b. Larceny in the sixth degree: Class C misdemeanor.
    (a) A person is guilty of larceny in the sixth degree when he commits larceny as defined in section 53a-119 and the value of the property or service is two hundred fifty dollars or less.

    (b) Larceny in the sixth degree is a class C misdemeanor.
He should go to the police and report the identity theft. He may be able to get assistance clearing things up through the police or prosecutor's office, but in some cases it will be necessary to hire a lawyer.
