I am a sophomore student, studying Business Law. We are currently looking at the issue of strict liability from a continental law context and I am not quite clear on how the law can be applied. For example, assume Company A builds real estate and issues Company B the responsibility of advertising their housing. Company B advertises, and Party C, after seeing the advert buys Company A's real estate. Later the Party C discovers that the housing is unsafe and improperly built. By this time Company A has gone bankrupt. Can Party C, hold Company B (the advertising company) strictly liable?
Any information pertaining to the case or to strict liability in general would be greatly appreciated. Further more, any additional links to any sites with information you might deem helpful would be well recieved too.
Thank You.
