I Am 17 Years Of Age. I Will Be 18 In Aprx. 6 Months. I Want To Get Emancipated. I Belive That I Will Do Much Better Off On My Own. I Have A Job And I Am Currently Attending Community College But Never Graduated Hs. I Have Some Money Saved Up Outside Of My Bank Account. I Live In Philadelphia Pa. I Also Live With My Legal Gaurdian , My Home Enviorment Is Stressful And Takes Me Off Focus Of My Goals And Accomplishments. (but They Have Agreed To Sign Emancipation Papers As Long As I Can Meet The Requirements Of Getting An Emancipation) How Do I Go About Doing So??

The process take a great deal of time and its possible you could turn 18 before its over. Along with most petitions are denied

PA has different statutes for each county and yes the process is easier if parents agree but there is still a process to go through. However you may liv eoutside yourparental home now with parents consent. If you are already living independently and paying your own bills you increase your chances of a successful emancipation

They Are Not Agreeing To Let Me Leave Only To Get Me Emancipaed If They Let Me Leave And Dont Have An Issue About It I Would Have Left Already They Got Into An Agrument W Me And Said Fine I Will Sign Emancipation Papers And You Can Leave They Do Want Ne Thing To Do W Me After That. THEY WONT LET ME LEAVE UNTIL I AM EMANCIPATED
