Default Offering and Furnishing Alcohol to Minors

Does anyone know the statute of limitations in Michigan,Genesee County, on an adult who offers and furnishes alcohol to minors? The minors are 12yrs. old and happened twice. One child is the the daughter of the offender and the other child is a family friend of the daughter. And what would be the charge? Would there be any charge for a spouse for knowing of the incidents and hidding them from another parent?

This happened how long ago? Normally I would expect this to be a misdemeanor, but with twelve-year-old kids I could see felony charges implicating a six year statute of limitations.

If a parent is hiding these incidents from the other parent, that's something that is probably most relevant within the context of future custody proceedings.

I was a very close friend of the family when being told of the issue 6 months ago. I have since found out that it happened another time as well. For a total of 2 times. I have since cut off the friendship out of disgust. The husband is the offender and his wife (my ex-friend) is hidding the matter from another mother. One of the twelve year olds is my ex-friends daughter the other girl is a friend of the daughter.

Default Offering And Furnishing Alcohol To Minors

In addition to my previous post because post reply was not working. The offenses took place 6 months ago in the summer of 2007. The husband is the one who hid the fact he was giving alcohol to his 12 year old daughter and her 12 year old friend. He hid the matter from his wife my now exfriend because of these issues. The wife found out through her own daughter and me that he had given alcohol to these 12 year olds. The wife decided to hide the matter from the mother of the 12 year old friend of the daughter. What kind of charges can be brought against the husband and then the wife for knowing about the issue and choosing to hide it? I feel I must report these issues to someone because I am concerned the alcohol was a bait from the husband to do something sexually to the friend 12 year old. Why else would a grown man hide giving and getting drunk two twelve year olds?
