Default How Can Landlords Protect Their Personal Property Against Lawsuits

Not sure where I should post this question, so here it is.

As landlords in New Jersey what is the best way to protect our personal property against lawsuits? Create an LLC and deed all the rental properties in the LLC??
    Thanks
