well, they didn't inform me IN WRITING. i called about 2-3 times a month to check the status and maybe got to speak with my claims rep probably twice. i was told that they had a back load of cases and to just wait the 180 days. i told him each time that my fear was that my employer hadn't responded to my accusations by collecting statements from witnesses that i'd included in my claim. well, i just got a cc: to the letter they JUST sent to my employer requesting the info AGAIN. they get ANOTHER 30 days to reply. the cc: also asks me to get the statements from other empolyees in writing. the problem with that is back in may we (me and the harassing co-worker) were given letters of warning (my supervisor actually just read me mine) NOT TO SPEAK TO ANY EMPLOYEE regarding eachother so...
well, i have already replied as required. i don't know how many ways to say the same thing over and over to them but i did reply. i was feeling excited that just MAYBE i could finally get back to seeing my psychiatrist and get back on my meds. i just think it's unfair to play with people's lives like this. i'd like to even get back to work but the anxiety attacks and the depression would surely get me fired or worse, not hired.
is there any regulation out there about the # of days allowed to accept/deny? oh, and THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE. IT HELPS TO 'TALK' ABOUT IT.
