Default Disruption of School Activity, Reckless Endangerment, by Minors

Hello, i am a 15 year old high school student who took part in an act which has resulted in me being suspended from school for 5 days and getting 2 criminal charges (reckless endangerment, and disruption of school activity). On the day of the act me and a few of my friends were really bored and decided to cause some trouble. I went into my house grabbed 2 eggs with an intent to egg a bus. Since we are all high school students we get out of school earlier then the middle school students. At around 3:30 when the middle school buses come to drop kids off we hid behind a neighborhood sign and waited til the bus passed, when it did i took part in throwing an egg at the side of the bus and it broke on impact and splatered on the out side of the bus. Some of the egg went inside the bus and splattered on a kids jacket (i will probably have to pay for reinburstment, or cleaning costs). The bus pulled over and the police were called and a police report was made. The next day the bus driver ID'ed me by looking in a previous year yearbook. On the wednesday after the event (it accured on a monday) i was called down into the office and had to talk to my principal, vice principal, my school deputy, and another deputy. While in the office they asked me what happened on the day of the event and i told them what happened saying that i was the only one who threw the egg. That day i was suspended from school for 5 days and a report was made and i should hear back from the juvenile survices in the next 2-3 weeks telling me when my hearing will be. I haven't been in anyother legal trouble like this before and this is my first offence. If someone could just shed some light on what my next course of action should be i would gladly appreciate it. I can also answer any other questions about the event if something is unclear. Thank you

you have not seen the charges yet?

you parents may want to talk to an attorney on your behalf.

as for school, your parents may want to review your school records. your suspension could cause a number of problems in the future. i.e. college and employment.

Do you have a clean record - no law enforcement problems other than this incident - and a reasonably good academic and disciplinary record at school? If you're seen by the court as a "good kid" who got involved in an "isolated incident", the court has a lot of latitude to fashion a penalty that is largely remedial in nature (undoing the harm, discouraging future misconduct) as opposed to, as they say, throwing the book at you.

I was just wondering if there was anyway to serve the consequences and then have my record erased or the charges removed because this will really affect me later in life ie. college and employment

Did you ever identify your state? Laws, including those governing criminal records, are different in each state.

Maryland juvenile records are confidential and cannot be released in the absence of a court order following a showing of good cause. On a motion or sua sponte, if good cause is shown, a Maryland juvenile court may order the court records of a juvenile sealed on or after the juvenile's 21st birthday. Once sealed, the court records may not be open for any purpose, except by court order and a showing of good cause.

If you want more detail than that, pose your questions to the juvenile court.
