    Default Perjury

My husband (in divorce process for 4.5 years) had some friends of his from work write letters on his behalf claiming to know me both professionally and personally. They are very mean, degrading, and untrue. Many of the things they state can be easily documented as false. Can I report them for perjury and, if so, to whom? I live in California.

No. A letter containing their opinion is not perjury.
Were these letters even excepted into evidence?

Perjury involves making false statements under oath. A mere letter isn't a document made under oath.

Normally, a judge would have no interest in reviewing letters - the judge would want witnesses to appear and testify. Is this for a child custody evaluation?

Thanks for the replies. They were signed "under penalty of perjury" and I wasn't referring to any opinion. They makes factual statements that are false. For example, one says she worked at the same site as me up until a few years ago. This is completely false and easily documented. They're for review by a mediator... not a judge. Again, thank you for your replies.
