    Default Early Lease Termination in California

    I move in september to these apartmanets complex, i made one year lease, but now i need to move because doing a tranfer of university , i gave my 30 days notice, but now i need to pay three monts for breaking my lease.
    what are my options?
    they told me if didnt pay that they were going to take me to court.

    You can try to negotiate for a smaller amount, or see if they will take installments instead of a lump sum.

    You signed a lease which is a binding contract. The Landlord is within his legal rights to make request he did or take you to court which will likely result in your paying rent for those three months or more and court costs. follow the advice given you by Aaron
