Back in the winter time, I Supposedly backed in to a truck, a co worker was helping back in and there was another guy from another company watching us the co worker backed me up and we went up to get parts, we came back down and the guy who used the truck was there it was another companys truck. Said I hit it, and went over and showed us and my Co worker said we didnt do that. the guy who was watching said we did be he was at least 20 Ft away dont know whether he had a clear angle or not. its was a jobsite with uneven terrain when i stopped the truck went down into like a gully. The one guy is saying I hit it, my coworker said I didnt. our Project manager came out to see what happened took the info down and everything. No cops were called or anything. Our PM talked to their PM, that was the last thing I heard about the situation. the Truck i was in was My company's vehicle, his truck was his companys vehicle for clarification. I got a letter in the mail today from my company with the bill of the body work done to it, wanting me to pay it and have it deducted from my check.
Are they eve allowed to do this? should I contact a lawyer
