Unhappy Credit Card Debt After Your Visa Expires And You Have To Leave the Country

I just graduated from a college in the US (Georgia) and as an international student I used a CC to paid my expenses. I received a letter from Immigration saying that I have to move back to my country and that I might not be able to come back in a long time. I am not authorized to work in the US anymore and I already used my savings to pay other three CC. I still have one CC left, and I owe $20000, what should I do? I have never been late on any payment and I certainly dont want to mess up my credit report in case I come back in some years. What should I do? I have to leave in one month.

Is there some reason you can't mail your payments (or arrange automatic payments from your bank account) from your country of origin?

Make the minimum payments until you're employed, then pay down the debt after you have a job.

If you cannot make the minimum payments, contact the credit card company, explain the situation, and ask them to make some sort of allowance for a few months while you find a job and start receiving an income. I don't know how willing they will be to work with you, but I suspect they will.
