    Post Marrying a Person on a Temporary Visa

    so in the earlier message i was worng. My boyfriend is legal, but has a tourist visa. He has been here for almost two years, but was previously married in mexico, but got a divorce three years ago and his visa has yet to expire. we are getting married this weekend but do not know what all we need to do to get married and the steps afterwords. like i said before we are living together and love eachother very much. I need help. Can anyone help me?

    To get married, you need to obtain a marriage license in the state where you intend to marry. After you are married you can seek to adjust his status on the basis of the marriage.

    What type of tourist visa is this, where he can stay for two years without going out of status?
