If their petition is in proper form, you go to court where you collectively try to convince the court that you qualify for emancipation under Florida law.

I've been reading a lot of the threads on various forums where the teens are doing High School online, I have never heard about that before only with college classes. Do Judges really see that as the same as attending high school?
For me I personally think there is more to learn & gain from involvement in a classroom.
That's going to depend upon the attitudes of the judge hearing the case, and any special facts or aspects which might support an argument for home schooling.

Those benefits are paid only to unemancipated minors of disabled parents because the parent is legally responsible for supporting thier child. Emancipation removes the parent's responsibilty and therefore the benefits end.
