Default Ex-Friend who used my stolen ID when caught shoplifting

About 4 months ago, I had a new "friend" that stole my ID and was caught shoplifting. What does that have to do with me? She used my info when confronted by whomever and was issued a citation, but not arrested at the time. I found the citation in my car that I had let her borrow that day. She stole my duplicate driver's license and my social security card. The people at the social security office said that I can't get a new # without proof that she is using it, but they did issue me a new card (big wow). The terrible part was that she was in the process of moving out of TN and now I can't seem to track her down. I have spent many hours calling people that could help me find her... without luck. The citation had the majority of my correct info, but some was incorrect. I had talked to several lawyers, since it was now my problem. The date that [I] was suppose to appear for booking (whatever that is) I didn't show. The lawyer I had searched for records of the incident, but found nothing. He also showed me that our signatures didn't match. He advised me to contact the officer that was there (he would be a witness). The print was somewhat hard to read, so I went to the jail, for the officer's name, who sent me to the general sessions court building. The people there gave me the officer's name and and some contact information. I called the officer numerous times, but he never returned my calls. I then called his supervisor and soon received a call from the officer. He wasn't much help and could hardly remember the incident. The lawyer did another search on me and came up with nothing...again. He told me not to worry about it anything. So, I didn't. This was in May of this year. It is now almost October and I am still paranoid. I have never done anything wrong and don't plan on it.
I thought that something would show on my record, but it hasn't yet...but there is still time. I have since gotten a job and I am getting ready to graduate from college in May of next year. I could kick myself for being so irresponsible. I just want everything cleared before I move out of TN. I have been reading the situations of others and would like to know about the letters that Walmart had been sending to them. Why didn't I receive one? If anyone can offer a little advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
