    Default Married Just for Papers

My father was suckered into marrying a mexican citizen so she could get her papers. How long (if any rule applies) must they be married before she can seek a divorce, They haven't been married a year yet and she has already filed for a divorce. What would one do to get back all the papers and have her deported if possible? We live in Texas. I also believe she was still married in Mexico. Please help

Divorce laws and immigration laws are separate.

Whether or not she will be deported depends upon her immigration status, not her marital status.

Without more facts about her immigration, I can't guess what the consequences of divorce will be. If she obtained a conditional green card, she won't have been married long enough to have the conditions removed. If domestic violence is an issue, she may be able to get relief under the Violence Against Women Act.
