Default I Moved Out and Will Pay, but Roommate Won't Find Another Roommate

My GF broke my trust and I decided to move out. I intend to continue my part of the rent and left the utilities on until they were transferred to her name. I still have things there, but she refuses to let me into the house. I also have been trying to get her to get a roommate, but she refuses and expects me to continue to pay rent. We have six months left. I also agreed with the landlord that I can afford the entire rent on my own, but how do I get her to move out or find another roommate. I feel like my only choice is to move back in, but I don't want to do that. Also, it recently has come to my attention that she may have changed the locks on the main door. I live in Michigan. Any advice? Need more? Thanks

If you stop paying your half of the rent, what's going to happen? Is she going to pay the balance herself? Is she going to fall behind and get evicted?

She has made it clear to me that she will not pay the additional half. We are both on the lease and I will be obligated to pay my half so as to not hurt my credit score. I also, don't want to put myself in a position to be sued.

She apparently understands that she can refuse whatever roommate you suggest and make no effort to find one of her own, as you will pay your share of the rent. Other than suing her and trying to convince a judge that her refusal of a roommate is unreasonable, I'm not seeing any obvious options - and for that, unless you want to sue more than once, you're stuck waiting until the end of the lease term when the damages stop accruing.

    Default Landlord/Roommate Removal Form...?

I can't help but ask if there is any other information pertaining to this circumstance that may have been left out...?

Has she changed the locks and/or moved anyone else in? Is a landlord of some sort involved?

Perhaps, provided there -IS- a landlord, you can complete a Roommate Removal Form (also referred to as being a Quitclaim), thus elliminating you from being held responsible for anything pertaining to the unit itself.

Is the landlord willing to work with you in lieu of this situation? Try verbalizing the severity of your request.

Good luck on whatever option you decide to choose~

That would occur only if the landlord were willing. Landlords aren't usually keen on releasing a tenant, particularly if the remaining tenant is promising to default on the lease.
