    Default Commissions After Resignation

Am I entitled to my sales commission on the sales I made before I resigned. The money was collected after I left.My contract says I get paid on sales after the money is collected from our clients. They are saying the contract says I don't get paid if I quit.I don't read it that way, but regardless does the state law not override the contract.I always thought what you earned is your money and they can't take it from you.The company is in Florida ,but I work out of California.Does anyone know Florida law?

    Default Re: Commissions After Resignation

Usually commissions are due when earned & can be reasonably calculated.

However; since they are saying the contract you have says different if you quit, you might want to have the contract reviewed by an employment or contract attorney in the state where you work -California (not Fl.)
