Recently I was terminated from my employment.
I filed a claim with unemployment and was approved for unemployment benefits. My employer filed an appeal which I attended. My employer did not attend. I rec'd a letter in the mail saying my employer had "good cause" for not attending the previous hearing. They are being granted another hearing.
So now I have to travel again almost 50 miles for the appeal. Does anyone know what happens if they don't attend this hearing? Will they be able to continue asking for a hearing? What happens if they continue to be granted hearings and not showing up but saying they have good cause? Is there a limit as to how many times they can do this?
I live in Massachusetts.
