    Question Minor Living Alone

    hey i know someone who is 16 and moved out of her moms house when she was 14 lived with a family til she was 15 they had power of attorney but they were moving and she wanted to stay in South FLorida so she moved in with another family for a year with her big brother who is 18 but they ended up moving out of there and they both live seperate now and are responsible for themselves. She just got medicaid, and the other family still has power of attorney of her is it illegal for her to be living on her own?

    Minors can live alone with the consent of their parents or legal guardians. Obviously, if they are not of sufficient age and maturity to be living alone, the parent or guardian could face charges for abandoning them.
