    Default Issues with Permanent Visas

Hey guy's this is the first time I've ever been in a forum so I hope this is in the right place to post this.

I actually have 2 questions. I searched and found similar cases but none are close enough. The problem is that my parents both have permanent visas I don't know which one it is but they told me it was a lifetime one. My dad heard there is a law going through that would abolish these visas. 1. So how would he go on applying for the new 10 year ones, he wants to avoid any future problems.
    2. My second question I recently found out that they have to inform immigration about a residence change and the problem is we moved ten years ago(California). So do you think they should do the adress change immedietly and also I know there is a $200 fine but they both have clean records do you think there are any future problems in sight.

Find out what type of visa you are talking about, please, then get back to us with the information.

They should update their address as required by law, and pay the late fee.

I'am not sure were to find that number maybe the number is P42 its under class on the card. What I'am sure of is that they both have the old green card (the one that never expires).

If they have Green Cards, they are permanent residents.
