    Default Retail Theft

i'm 19 i live in florida and i got caught at bealls outlet for shoplifting, 24.00 to be exact. i was arrested and i was given a court date, now i am going to plead guilty, because they have a tape of me doing it, but i was wondering about the diversion program, does that clean your record after you complete the requirments? what is usually the requirments?
also when i was 12 i was caught shoplifting before, i wasn't arrested just had to do some communtiy service.
Will this affect my record since i was a juvinille? or is this considered my "first offense" since i am now an adult?

Discuss these matters with a criminal defense Attorney in your area. Diversion programs vary and its not likely you will qualify with a previous theft on your record. Although a conviction as a minor might not apply

Have you checked to see if a diversion program is available, and if you qualify?

well when they ran my background check they said it was clean, and the police officer said that i will probally get community service cosidering my record is clean, so does that mean the previous crime isnt showig up?

It means on their check it did. Chances are it wont since you were a minor. You still should consult with a criminal defense Attorney who can tell you about Diversion (if available) and if you qualify
