While purchasing a coffee at a dunkin donuts drive-thru window, the clerk was rushing and handed a coffee out the window and the cover was not secure. When I took the coffee, it popped open and poured onto my left leg causing second degree burns from my knee down my shin. I was treated at the hospital for the burn and lost five days at work. The clerk never assisted me, I had to ask for cold water and ice but it blistered within a minute. The clerk never told the manager that day, till my employer notified the store that I was hurt. My real question is should I consider a suit and what does an injury of this nature call for an amount. I will have a scar and experienced two weeks of pain and discomfort. Family and friends say sue, I just do not know?
