    Default Emancipation Help

I'm 16, my mother died two years ago, and my father has been abusive to me psycially, and emotionally. The only problem is I don't have the evidence to prove it. When dealing with protective serivces, they said they saw no problems. The only way I feel I can get out of this situation is if I get emancipated. I can go live with my aunt, but I don't have a job. I'm also confused, and torn on wheater or not to do this. Any suggestions?

    Default Getting emancipated in Michigan

To be emancipated in Michigan, absent a circumstance which automatically results in emancipation (such as marriage or active duty service in the armed forces), you would have to convince a court you are able to support yourself, and are capable of managing your financial and social affairs. Michigan's emancipation statutes are available online.
