Don't be affraid I'm not here to judge anyone besides the reason I'm as good as I am now is because I was on the other side of the tracks when I was younger.

    To jlee
Yes I I'm LPM at one place and help out with a LP friend and work PT at another store

With the plates not in your name is a good because they be more likely not to pursue the case
You are lucky you didn't get hurt alot of LP are looking for a chance to slam someone (which they can do, what ever it takes to get you back) they probaly didn't because of the incident at Wal-Mart on th 9th.
I think that you don't need to lye to your husband about what is going on.
I would call the Wal-Mart and ask for the In Store LP (make sure it is the same guy) tell him exactly what you have told me and make an agreement with him that you will bring the merchandise back if he doesn't press charges. He will want to get your info so he can make a case out of it but ask him to not civil demand you. Do not set up a time with him just ask when is he working next and come in at any time during then.

It could take awhile to trake you dowmn like I said it depends on of well he knows the local law inforcment and with you living in a different county it will take longer to track you down.

jlee most states they have up to a year to prosecute you if they want like I said before if your really afraid of them comin gafter you give the LP a call and agree to return the merchandise if he will not prosecute you may even be able to work a deal to where he doesn't civil demand you.

In a situation where you are not arrested and only detained but, yes given a civil damand notice to pay a fine. What happens? When this happened to me I was in shock and just couldn't understand because I was so nervous. I did ask the LP officer how this was going to affect me and she said I would "just" not be able to apply for employment at any federated store, and that I did have to pay the fine other wise it would turn in to a warrant if ignored.

Like I said I was not arrested and no police were involved I was dismissed within 20 minutes. They didn't even tell me not to come back to the store.. either way I will never even drive by... can you please bring some light to my situation...being an LP officer. These 2 LP officer's were actually very kind. I suppose I should be greatful that my first experience was not a disaster... although it's been very stressful. Please advice..
