Hi,
Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place. Back in 2000 I was caught up on a charge of misdemeanor destruction of property in Michigan. I was given a deal where it would be "taken under advisement". I served time on probation, paid restitution, did several days on a work release program, paid fines, etc. I completed everything, no violations, and stayed out of trouble otherwise so my case was dismissed. I was told by the court that I would not end up with a record for what I did, however I was photographed and fingerprinted after my court appearance. My question is, would my mugshots and fingerprints still be on record? My reason for being concerned about this is I am attending college now with plans to go into radiation therapy (medical field) but haven't yet applied for the core program at a university. When they do the background check with my application once I do apply for the program, will they know about my record? If asked, am I legally required to tell them about this? Also, if I make it through the program and look for a job in that field, will I have to disclose this information? Thanks.
