Default Re: Am I Responsible for My Husband's Debt

The answer may depend upon the laws of your state, which you chose not to disclose. In most states, as you didn't sign on as an account holder and don't use the cards, you can't be held responsible for the debt. If you're in a community property state like California, you may be jointly liable despite not signing. Ask the attorneys who call you to explain how you are responsible under these facts.
