I have about 20,000 in old credit card debt in which I have made payment arrangements with most. My husband & I have been separated for 1.5 years & he has his own credit debt, which he's chosen to ignore.
We have 3 kids under 8 (1 physically disabled) & he has not helped us financially & rarely sees them. He quit his 65000/yr job when he received paperwork from childsupport. He's paid cash as a fisherman/diver & has ignored all debts & is living free while child support has had no progress in serving him.

All of my money from salary & independent contractor work is going to old debt payment arrangements (some from 1998) & bills/childcare costs/school loans, lots of nsf & overdrawn fees with very little left for food & necessities. My question is that I have been getting calls from attorneys in regards to his old credit card debt (opened in his name only). Is it possible they could garnish my wages or seize my bank? I also own 50% of a home (inheritance), could they come after that? I'm barely scraping by dealing with my own debt, current bills & some he left on me - I will not be able to handle his old credit card debt. What can I do? Thanks.
