Default Getting Out of a Purchase Agreement

I signed a purcahse agreement on 5-1-07 to purchase a home that was being built. This has been a nightmare since day one. First of all we went to the house one day and the slab had been jackhammered about 3 inches into the concrete all along the livingroom because they forgot to add the floor jacks that were in the floorplans (it does not look like they plan to repair this before laying the floors). Then we came in one day and they had installed cabinets that we HAD NOT picked out and DID NOT WANT. They refused to re-do the cabinets and basically said we would have to live with them. Then we were told the front yard would be landscaped and sodded and the builder said that it was not part of the agreement. We had to go home look up the purchase agreement and bring it to him to prove it was in there before he would agree to it. We can NEVER get anyone to answer our calls when we call them and when we asked to get out of the agreement they said they would sue us. Is there a way to legally get out of this agreement!??! I am in Louisiana.

    Thanks!
