Default After 12 Years I'm Being Forced to Move

I live in Indiana and am on section 8. During my meeting with Human Services for our annual recert, the property manager informed me, in front of everyone, that she did not need to see me about signing a new lease. I asked why and she stated that my file was under evaluation.
Well, I'm not stupid. I knew that she was not happy with me because I had gone over her head to the main office concerning issues with neighbors that she had been reluctant to deal with. I felt that she was probably looking for a reason to force me to move.
After almost two weeks and no word, I inquired of the regional property manager. If I was going to have to move I needed to know. I finally received a letter four days later from the property manager stating that I have not observed their reasonable policies. My lease will not be renewed. The official reason given was, "Impede our ability to conduct business."
There was no attempt to speak with me about the issues we had or anything. I have asked for an explanation of the reason given but they have not responded.
I have gone through the steps necessary to transfer my voucher to another property. I'm currently in a holding pattern while busy packing. I have to be out by the end of October.
I've been told that the property has every right not to renew my lease the same as I have. I guess I understand that. What I don't understand is how they can do this to someone who is on disability and assistance, and for reasons that are so vague. I have no money to hire an attorney even if I had a leg to stand on. And even if I could fight it and win I'm not sure I'd even want to stay here. But I think I've been mistreated. There are others here who complain about every single little thing. They call several times a week about something. I figure the only reason they aren't being treated like this is because they're elderly. I'm 51. I'd appreciate some thoughts on the matter. Thanks.

I guess my belief that my legal rights were violated might be very different from a professionals. I'm sure the corporation that owns and manages the complex checks everything very carefully before they do it. That's probably why it took them so long to let me know anything. I believe that I have been discriminated against.
I very briefly spoke to an attorney over the phone when this first started and he said they have every right not to renew my lease. He said as long as they don't violate one of the federally protected areas there wouldn't be much that I could do.
I believe that, by the property manager's reluctance to enforce the terms of the rental agreement 100%, she has violated my right to the quiet enjoyment of my home. I also believe that, by the carelessness or ineptness of maintenance personnel in their daily activities, they have caused tenants unnecessary harship. Again, the property manager has failed to live up to her end of the agreement by not taking steps to correct the issues.
I guess I need to make some calls today to see where I can find some legal assistance. There ought to be some available since I fit the required income guidelines but I have no idea where to look. Thanks Aaron.
