You may wish to discuss your case with a local lawyer to see if there are any diversion programs available in your county, or if you should seek a deferred sentence (e.g., under Michigan's HYTA law).

Ok so I entered a no plea, which they consider a not quity plea. I am to show up for a pre-trail this Tuesday. What hapeens at a "pre-trail"? I was told that I will then meet with a public defender. Should I bring anything like birth certificate and Social Security card and money to pay the court fee?

A pretrial is a scheduling hearing, where you will likely either enter a plea or have your case scheduled for trial. If you are planning to enter into a plea bargain and wish to be able to pay toward your costs and fees on that date, it makes sense to bring some means by which you could pay.
