Default Minor Consumption in Minnesota - What's Going To Happen?

I was recently at this rather "waste of a night" party in an apartment building. At any rate, someone was loud, and the cops got called and we all got minors, I'm 19... I blew a .19... and I want to know if I'm going to be required to go to court, because i would rather pay the fine and be done with it all, rather than go to all the hassle. because the cops were all fair, and I feel like I completely deserve this charge. thanks!

Were you issued a citation? If so, what charge is listed on the citation, and does it say you have to go to court?

ok, the officer had RIDICULOUSLY bad handwriting, so I don't really know what I got, but it doesn't say on the ticket that I have to go to court. I am assuming that I got a minor consumption ticket, because thats what i remember him saying?

I found out what the violation was, it was statute 340A.503. It says in the major rules that if a punishment is not specified, violation of 340A.503 is a misdemeanor and I get to pay at least $100. Will I go to court? Again, it doesn't say so on the ticket, but I doubt that it would.

For a misdemeanor, you can expect to have to go to court.

So there would be no other way to settle it?

If it's a misdemeanor, I don't think so. (though you're free to contact an attorney)

would I want to contact an attorney? I plan on pleading guilty, and there are no extenuating circumstances that I believe would help me in the least bit.
