Default Discrimination Based on Educational Background in Texas

Are employers allowed to discriminate based on where you obtained your education degree? Not your level of education just which college or university you chose to achieve said degree. For example if the only thing that separated two qualified applicants was where they obtained there educational history could they legally choose there preferred school. Thanks in advance

Yes, they can. That would not be illegal discrimination such as age, sex, religion, etc. would be.
