Regard to Florida.
I recieved a DUI back in November (my first). I was found guilty in May sentenced to 12 months probation w/early term, 50 hours community service, 10 day vehicle impoundment, DUI school, and 6 months driver suspension. I have a couple of speeding tickets other than that no other convictions.
Well I recently got a new job and have to move. I had to make a stupid choice and drove out to the new area to get an apartment. While I was out there I got pulled over (still not sure why). Well the police officer gave me a promise to appear ticket instead of taking me to jail, because I had my Military ID on me.
Well I had completed all terms of my probation except owed $500.00 and the vehicle impoundment -before I got the ticket-, which I got on 18 Aug. Today (23 Aug) I went and gave in the required payment and the reciept for the vehicle impoundment. They told me they would put me in for the judge to review my case, but it might take a few weeks.
Since I was not arrested will this appear on my record if they do an updated search? I checked the DMV site and my license only shows the DUI revocation. I also checked the county site and the ticket was entered in their system today. The violation and my probation are in two separate counties. My lawyer says I might be able to get by unnoticed but he is not sure.
I have never violated my probation and in fact completed everything 8 months ahead of time. I had no choice really in going to this new location because I am moving and had to find a place to live. My probation officer does not know about it and in fact I have never even met her before. I just would go in and meet with the secretary...any ideas?
