Hi (Missouri),
This summer I was charged for a BWI (Boating While Intoxicated) and fined $300, with 2 years unsupervised probation. This is my first offense and I'm wondering exactly what constitutes a violation of my probation (traffic tickets, etc.). Now, I'm sure I'll stay out of trouble for 2 years, I have for 22 until this, but what if something does occur or I'm just at the wrong place at the wrong time? I've known several people who were on probation in one county ( in Missouri), and got into some more trouble in other counties, but nothing was ever brought up about them violating that probation period? Is it up to the county that issued the probation to find out if they violated it, or will any crime reveal that I'm on probation ( does it show up on my record for the next two years)? Also, what about jobs/apartments...do they just see "PROBATION" and defer me, or like other people I've talked with, does that not even come up? My mom's really wanting me to try and appeal this probation charge, but I feel as long as I do like I always have I'll be fine, plus I don't have the money for that. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
