When my husband got a divorce from his ex wife back a year 1/2 ago it was stated in the papers that he his to pay X amount for cs and pay for the SUV and insurance, which is all for the kids. There was also a verbal agreement that the weekends we have the kids we also get the SUV because its for the kids. Well of course that never happen and its something that should have been included in the papers and we all know that now. Well he couldn't pay for the suv any longer because $1400 a month to another family is alot. He is a good father and always pays his cs but the suv is NOT used for the children. Anyways, he hasn't been able to make he payments and more than likely it will be reprossed. And of course his not happy because her boyfriend doens't have a way to get back and forth to work. So my question is what will happen now? Does she have to get a lawyer(which I don't know how she can afford it since she is so broke and such a victim)? And if this does go to court can my husband have it moved to a different county? We are in Ky
Her attorney fee would very likely be ordered to be paid by your husband. Alone with all associated fees from the repossession of the SUV. As for the contempt of court your hubby is facing, he could get anything from a slap on the wrist to fines or POSSIBLY jail time. Most likely hefty fines.
