    Default Theft By A Tenant

North Carolina. Evicted tenant took washer and dryer with them when they moved. Items were listed as our property on lease. Tenants were evicted for not paying rent. They have also done a few thouswnd dollars worth of damage to house that we got a judgement on but don't expect to see the money. Will the judgement show up on their credit? Should we pursue criminal charges for the washer and dryer and what type of charges? We don't have an attorney and would prefer to not have to pay one when we may never see any recovery from tenants. I would just like to see some consequences to the tenant for screwing us so hard.

Why wouldn't you file a police report?
