Default Birth Certificate and Name Change

I am the mother of a 2 month old boy in Illinois. At the time of birth my boyfriend signed the birth certificate and I gave my son his last name.
We are now certain (although a paternity test has not been done yet) that my boyfriend (the one who signed the birth certificate) is not the father and in fact an ex-boyfriend is.
    How would I go about...
    a. removing my boyfriend's name off the birth certificate.
    b. changing my son's last name to that of my ex-boyfriend
    c. adding my ex-boyfriend's name to the birth certificate

Also... If a paternity test is required would, would my current boyfriend have to be tested to prove that he is not the father? Or would I only be required to test my ex-boyfriend to make sure he is indeed the father?

Save yourself a lot of bother by getting a DNA test done now, and deciding how to proceed based upon the test result.
