Our landlord gave us a notice that he was terminating our lease end of August. No reason why. Our lease has no clause for the landlord to terminate early (verified by attorney). We were advised not to leave since we are having difficulty finding another place to allow pets.

Rent is coming due. What is the proper way to send it? I had heard from somewhere else to send it regular mail. If it comes back, send it again certified. If it comes back again, escrow it. But what if the landlord keeps it and never cashes it? I have no proof it was sent.
