    Default Collection of a Judgment

Once a judgement is awarded for a non-secured account, How often can they try and collect? and
In what time period do they have to collect?
How do they find out your bank account info.?

    Thanks,
    Craig

Default Re: Collection of a Judgment

They can try to collect it until they succeed. The amount of time they have to collect a judgment varies by state - usually six to ten years, sometimes longer, and usually subject to renewal. They can try to get your bank account information in a number of ways, including through a hearing where you testify about your accounts and assets while under oath, or possibly from a credit report.
