Possession Charges, Second Time Around

I'm 17 and live in NC, about to move to California this friday..Yesterday I was charged with possession of marijuana (less than 1/2 oz) and possession of a malt beverage under 21..The officers charged everyone for one bag of marijuana that someone had claimed and everyone with alcohol even though some didn't actually possess it either. I had completed drug classes and had unsupervised probation for a year from my first time caught which was for drug paraphernalia. Now I will be getting charged with that too. What's likely to happen, especially since I will be a resident of California shortly..Do you think I will be able to get the possession of marijunana charge dropped? Is there any way besides probation, maybe telling the judge I will complete community service during my month off school in winter..?

When you go to court, have your Narcotics/Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor go with you.

That will impress the judge.

I don't think that would impress the judge at all. Maybe I didn't elaborate enough..I was let off with a simple 90-96 program after the paraphernalia charge since it was my first offense, the catch was that I couldn't get caught within a year or I would be charged with it too along with the new ones. I think that would only make the judge question if I ever learned anything at all.
