He was supposed to serve 5-7 years in the penn, but inistead served two and was sentenced to four years probation. Do you think they will make him serve the 5-7 since he moved and didn't report to his probation officer??? Any advice would be appreciated!!
Whatever sentence he receives on the original charge, he will get credit for time served. He should retain a criminal defense attorney in California to advise him as to the probable outcome of his probation violation, strategy in relation to extradition proceedings, and to advocate on his behalf at the probation violation hearing and sentencing. (If he cannot afford a lawyer, he should seek to have one appointed to represent him.)
