    Default Will There Still Be A Trial If Everything Is Settled With The Prosecutor

    My brother has a trial date next friday. But his lawyer now arraged something with the DA. What's the procedure now? Will there still be a trial? When will he be sentenced? That part is still unclear, as far as I know.

    General answer:

    You plead guilty and there is a sentencing (either then or some time later).
