    Default Moving from Texas to California

    ok so right now i live in texas but when im 16 im gonna drive to california and i want to file for emancipation there.but i need help because wont it get messy if im filed as a run away.and how can i get a job if i need a work permit.

    Default Emancipation versus Running Away

    You can't put the cart before the horse. If you need a work permit because you aren't emancipated, you would need to emancipate first. It's not easy to run away from home, set up domicile in a different state, then emancipate. It has probably happened; but I'm not aware of any actual cases.
